To Renew The Work Permit And Visa in Dubai You Need The Following:
- To confirm any new passport issued and if still with existing passport used for original process the passport still has at least one year’s validity
- 4 x Colour passport sized photo’s with a white background
- Copy of existing visa that is expiring
- The employer confirms the contractual terms of the employment renewal
- Any amendments/changes to the employment status are usually completed at renewal stage
Once any employee who has finished his new or renewed work permit/visa process and retained his/her official Emirates ID Card which is issued once the work permit and visa formalities are completed the employee can then start to process any family residence visas new or renewal whichever they may need including the spouse visa services.
The company does not sponsor the family, the company only sponsors/employs the employee through the place of work. Any dependents of the employee gain their residency visa through the father/mother depending which parent, spouse is working. So the employee/worker sponsors any dependents including the spouse. To sponsor the Spouse visa in UAE, you need to prepare the following:
- Passport with at least one year’s validity from entry into Dubai
- 2 x Colour passport sized photo’s with a white background
- Either the proof of entry (visit visa stamp) or if previously on any other type of cancelled visa in UAE
- Copy of fully attested marriage certificate including official Arabic Translation if the certificate is in any foreign language
- Local or International medical insurance should be gained to support the application
- Home Tenancy and Bank Statements from the sponsor will need to be provided to show there is sufficient financial support for the dependents.
If the employee/worker will be renewed for another contracted term the dependents and spouse can be renewed once the employee has completed the visa renewal process and the renewed Emirates ID Card has also been renewed.
What Documents Are Required For The Spouse Visa Renewal Process
- To confirm any new passport issued and if still with existing passport used for original process this passport still has at least one year’s validity
- 2 x Colour passport sized photo’s with a white background
- Copy of existing visa that is expiring
- Original Emirates ID Card is now needed to apply for the health check
- Renewed Home Tenancy and Bank Statements from the sponsor will need to be provided to show there is sufficient financial support to renew any dependents.
Remember if the wife/spouse has a work permit issued from her own place or work her employer will need a copy of her renewed residence visa issued under her husband’s sponsorship. Her employer will need to show this renewed Domestic Residence Visa copy if her work permit is to be renewed in due course.
To let spouse, dependents visa expire over the grace period of renewal which is an allowance of 30 days will mean if the dependents are inside the UAE a daily fine will be imposed until renewed and if the family/spouse visa expire whilst outside the UAE they will be cancelled on arrival and have to complete a whole new visa process from the beginning so with any residence visa services matters – diligence of expiry dates is recommended.
All family/dependent related visas can include children, housemaids, nannies and personal drivers, all processes will follow the same basis as above with some slight differences in time lines and documents required.
